On this volunteer trip, you will have the opportunity to help the children of Santa Barbara by promoting education and ensuring their proper physical, emotional, and social development at daycare centers. This program works with early childhood centers that provide care and education to local children of working-class or single parents. These centers offer education, friendship, and comfort for 20 to 40 children aged three to six years old.

As a volunteer, you will be able to spend time with the children and help out with schoolwork, play games with them, and organize fun activities like sports and arts. Your attention and companionship can go a long way toward healthy development and support, especially for children whose parents may be unable to provide the support they need during their earliest years.

To sign up, you must be 18 or older and have a basic understanding of Spanish. You do not need background experience in childcare to apply, but if you do have related education and experience, you can have a more specific and specialized placement.
