Travel to the Goa region of India for this exciting and fulfilling voluntour opportunity with Bamba Experience! On this trip, you will be placed on a volunteer project that works in one of the following areas: women’s empowerment or teaching.
Arrival and Orientation
You’ll arrive to Goa International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by the Bamba Experience team and transferred along to your volunteer house, which is located near the beautiful Colva Beach. The next morning, you will attend a welcome meeting and learn about India and its culture, the volunteer house you’ll stay in, what types of activities you will take on during your volunteer project, cultural responsibility, and personal safety and code of conduct.
The Goa Volunteer house is situated in a safe and secure location just 5 km from the gorgeous Colva beach. It has easy access to the nearest markets, shops, and restaurants. This facility has a total of 24 nice and comfortable rooms, each with two beds, a wardrobe for your belongings, a fan, and an attached bathroom with hot shower. Each room has an attached balcony and there is an outside dining area with buffet-style service. The distance from Goa International Airport Dabolim to Idex house is about 19 km. Nice casinos, markets, and churches can be found in Panajim City which is about 35 km away from this house. It is 8km from the famous Margao City and 12 km from the Margao Railway Station.
ACCOMMODATION MANAGER: The accommodation manager acts as an administrator of the accommodation facility and is responsible for the safety and well-being of participants.
SUPPORT STAFF: The support staff includes a chef, a helper, a room cleaner, drivers, etc. The support staff is committed to creating an enjoyable and comfortable for the participants.
PROJECT EXECUTIVES: The project executives are the ground-handling coordinators on project sites. They accompany the participants while working on the projects.
While the exact project work you will take on during your stay in Goa will vary depending on program needs, a typical day of volunteering will follow this schedule:
7:30-8:30: Breakfast at Volunteer Accommodation
9:00-12:30: Project Work
12:30-1:30: Packed Lunch at the Project Location
1:30-2:00: Free Time/Relax
2:00-4:00: Project Work
4:00-5:00: Preparation Meeting/Lesson Planning for Next Day
5:00-5:30: Tea/Coffee at Volunteer House
7:00-8:00: Dinner at Volunteer House
