We organise Social Impact Journeys and unique volunteering opportunities in India to deepen the knowledge of participants about social enterprises and sustainability.
Arrival and Orientation
Our program manager will pick you up from Mumbai Airport and transfer to your accommodation. You will have time to rest, relax, adjust to Mumbai. You will get to meet the whole group over dinner;
Twin room in a hotel with wifi access in Mumbai, all transportation to the field programs and meals included
Wake up bright and early for a morning yoga session. After breakfast at your hotel, you will be taken to a co-working space, where the pioneers of microfinance revolution will share how small loans made at affordable interest rates have transformed the lives of impoverished people in India.
Heading straight to a unique workshop by an International Coach focused on cultural adaptability and a session on 'Your Life Purpose';
Discover the other side of India - bright and creative! Through your guide's historical and personal stories, a living culture and a colourful past, learn the fascinating history of the thriving town. Later learn about craft social enterprise model, the history behind it, and then make your own piece of art with the artisans. Visit the place where things come from and the people who create them;
Take an early morning local train, travel like a local to reach a primary school out of Mumbai. Learn how rural schools use technology for effective learning and empower the community in rural areas.
After the school visit, we will take you to Van Vadi, a 64-acre forest farm, on the foothills of Sahyadri, offers a complete rustic experience;
Understand social enterprise in India through a field visit. We will take you to 3 social organizations where you get a chance to meet changemakers, grassroots innovators and thought leaders.
Interested in meeting with changemakers, grassroots innovators, thought leaders, experts and academics from across social enterprises and non-profits in India? Experience their approaches, understand their challenges to local social and environmental problems;
This is your give-back day! Creatively use your skills in marketing, fundraising, scaling, strategy, finance to help local social enterprises reach their strategic and tactical goals. Assist local social enterprises to reach their strategic and tactical goals.
Later learn about the positive effects of social enterprise, discover ways social enterprise is empowering women, learn about organizations taking action and specific things your could be doing to contribute to levelling the playing field and providing an opportunity for women and girls;
Morning Yoga & Meditation and Reflection session by our leading leadership coach, allows you to look back on, think critically about, and learn from your experience and move way forward to be a changemaker;
‘Social impact journeys’ will help you discover your role as a changemaker, learn best practices in the sector, high touch field immersions where you can meet, interact with the beneficiaries and network with other changemakers.

TribesforGOOD is a mission-led organization developing the potential of individuals as changemakers. This is done through a series of social impact journeys, day immersions, and consulting. Through their work with local communities, TribesforGOOD is able to provide employment generation opportunities by hiring local staff, designing travel programs for social enterprises, and non-profits which in turns become a revenue generator for them.

This Social Impact Journey is designed to inspire, challenge, and bring bright women together from across the globe, to be a starting point for women of all ages to explore the world together in order to create positive social change, personal transformation, and meaningful travel experiences.
TribesforGOOD programs are not your typical overseas volunteer programs. In addition to the in-country volunteer component, they host professional development workshops that develop your leadership skills through transformative learning.
Draw upon best practices and lessons learned in social development and community engagement program development and implementation to improve their planning and implementation skills
Explore unconventional ways of working that show potential for real social impact
Develop creative solutions for a sustainable socio-economic development of communities, cities, or regions which are based on local citizens’ needs
